THEME

Mammoth: The Joy of Oversized Art is a celebration of larger, oversized works that command the attention of the viewer.

ELIGIBILITY

All artists are invited to participate. This in a non-juried show. Works that do not meet qualification specifications (see below) will not be accepted. Work that adheres to the theme and guidelines are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Due to the size of the works, capacity in the gallery may be met before the end of Take-In and work may be turned away once capacity is met.

ENTRY FEES  Entry fee is non-refundable.  

CAL Members: First two (2) entries $25. Additional entries are $6 each.  (six entries maximum)

Non-Members: First two (2) entries $35. Additional entries are $15 each. (four entries maximum)

CALENDAR   NO late entries will be accepted

Deliver Art Work  

Friday March 29: 11am-3pm  and

Sunday March 31: 12pm-4pm

First Friday Art Reception

April 5: 6pm-9pm

Last Day of Show

Saturday April 27

Pick up exhibited work

Sun April 28, 12-4pm or Tues April 30, by Appt

NOTE:  Artwork left beyond pick up dates may become property of Charlotte Art League and/or subject to a holding fee.

SPECIFICATIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED

All work must be Your Original Design and Creation and not previously exhibited in a Charlotte Art League judged or juried show.  Work from a known copyrighted source will NOT be considered for judging. Works on paper must be protected by glass or Plexiglas and framed.  All work must be properly framed or gallery wrapped (sides properly finished), and WIRED FOR HANGING. Mats must be neutral, neat and clean.  All work must be properly wired on the back for hanging with braided wire suited to the weight of the artwork. (D-rings preferred over screw eyes).  

Three-dimensional art exceeding 30”x30”x72” or weighing more than 100 pounds may require installation by the artist.  Display stands for 3D work are provided by the Charlotte Art League with prior approval.

The following will NOT be accepted:  giclees, reproductions or copies. NO wet paint or inks. Unacceptable framing includes: string, tape, clip frames and saw-tooth hangers.

Art work may be rejected if we are not able to properly or safely install the work.

SALES AND PRICING

All work must be available for sale.  No POR’s (price on request) will be accepted.

CAL will retain 30% Commission on all sales from Members, 35% from Non-members.
