Annual Charlotte Art League/Goodwill Exhibit
March 2-30
During the past four years, Charlotte Art League and Goodwill Industries have partnered in a spring exhibit. It is an exhibit of works from the outreach students of Charlotte Art League who come to the art league once a week from Goodwill Industries to learn to be artists.
Goodwill provides an employment training program for intellectually disabled adults and some of them are learning to make art. Over the years, working with these delightful arrtists has been a joy for CAL members. Any member is welcome to contribute time and knowledge to this program.
The exhibit is always vibrant and expressive. On opening night, Goodwill artists receive a great ego boost when receiving the public. Traditionally 80% of the sales go to the artist. Earning money gives each trainee a sense of independence and self confidence.
Come meet these newly emerging artists at the March Gallery Crawl and buy a piece of art from them.
