– Artwork at the Actor’s Theatre

The Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte (ATC), your entertainment destination for bold, engaging and innovative new plays in Uptown Charlotte (650 E. Stonewall Street), is now collaborating with CAL artists to display and sell artwork in their lobby. Now in their 23rd season, ATC has become known throughout the Carolinas as the place to see the best and brightest new plays from across the country.

One to two artists will be able to hang their artwork in the lobby and down two corridors to the main theater for the duration of a play. Approximately ten to fourteen pieces can be hung depending on size. Hangers are provided on-site and all sales will be conducted by ATC (80 percent to artist, 10 percent to ATC, 10 percent to CAL).

A call-for-artists will be sent out with a description of the upcoming play. We want to coordinate the artwork with each play as best we can. If you feel your artwork fits the play’s theme, contact CAL. Check out their website for upcoming plays at www.actorstheatrecharlotte.org.

CAL will also be heading up a large-scale mural project on the ATC building for eight to ten artists! Details coming soon.
