On Sunday May 2nd from 3-6 pm “Charlotte Art League is HOT!” — a silent art auction to benefit our mission of community support of visual art — will be held at the Charlotte Art League Gallery, at 1517 Camden Rd. in Charlotte’s South End.
Online ticket sales are now closed. You many still purchase tickets at the door.
Proceeds from the auction enable our support of emerging and professional artists, community outreach programs, maintaining our facility and encouraging artistic expression and cultural enrichment in Charlotte and the surrounding region. Your support will also help make possible a series of upgrades to our facility to make it even more accessible to working artists and the public.
The auction will feature over 30 original works of art donated by CAL members, including well known artists Terry Thirion, Stefan Duncan, and Wil Bosbyshell. With wine donated by Canyon Road, live music, and food representing local restaurants, the event will be an exciting afternoon of “cool wine, spicy food and HOT art!”
Since moving to our current Camden Road location in 1996, Charlotte Art League has pioneered the flourishing art scene in the South End district. Because of the generous support of art lovers like you, we have grown to where we are now able to offer working studio space, display wall rentals, a spacious gallery, continuing education classes, workshops, seminars and much more.
Tickets for CAL is HOT! are $15.00 each, and are available online (click here to purchase). or at CAL’s Camden Road location and will be sold at the door on the day of the event.
Artwork up for auction will be on display at the CAL Gallery beginning Tuesday April 28 through the auction on Sunday, May 2.
