Color My Dreams: CAL’s June ExhibitJoin us on June 5th to inaugurate an exceptional show with significant creative achievement. Member News

Margee Halsch and Rob Young are showing at the Manor thru June 15th.

Member John Offerdahl’s painting Norwegian Fjord, 14"x18", oil on canvas was accepted by the Butler into their 73rd Midyear Exhibition. There were over 1,000 entries and 100 judged into the show (June-September). The competition was open to any USA resident. The Butler is 90 years old this year and specializes in American art. The painting is of Lusterfjord in eastern Norway. It is near the village of Ofredal the ancestral home of the Offerdahl family. Several members of John’s family are buried in the Nes churchyard in the village of Luster.

Welcome to CAL! We have a summer resident, Anna More. She will work in Joan Vitale’s space through the summer. She just graduated from High School and plans to attend Baltimore School of Art and Design.

Classes

Colored Pencil Drawing

Joshua HendryThe Charlotte Art League is hosting Joshua Hendry’s drawing class on Saturdays from 2-4pm. He is a professional artist, who trained at North Carolina State University. During my freshman year, he was introduced to Prismacolor colored pencils and fell in love with the medium. You can contact him at (336) 509-3631, email, or visit his website www.joshuahendry.com.

We currently have four positions available in the class. It is ongoing and continues as long as there are students.

The cost is $25/class or $85 for four classes paid in full.

Life Drawing

Saturdays, 8:30—10:30
Cost: $10.

This is an ongoing class, open to artists of all skill levels. There is no instruction, just the opportunity to work with a live model in the study of the figure. Email: shantmarie@aol.com to confirm class.
