We have moved from our previous location at 1517 Camden Rd in South End, Charlotte. We are now in the process of our setting up our new space at The Station House along the LYNX light rail extension. Our new address is 600 E Sugar Creek. We are right at the Sugar Creek Station light rail stop. WE ARE NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC YET. But stay tuned for the announcement of our opening date!

We are excited to be located at the Station House campus, which allows for bigger and more collaborative programming! We have a huge 2108 planned!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON HOW TO GET THERE:

Due to construction and road closures on N.Davidson and 36th St, we recommend taking N. Tryon (Hwy 29) to Craighead Rd. From Craighead, take a left onto Raleigh St then make a right to stay on Raleigh. We are right after the Sugar Creek Station parking deck. Please keep in mind we are still in the process of setting up our building and we are not yet open to the public. Charlotte Art League Announces new home as part of The Station House Project in Noda

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Dec 31, 2017 – Charlotte Art League is pleased to announce their new home in Noda at the Station House, being developed by Tony Kuhn of Flywheel Group at 600 E Sugar Creek Road.

The Charlotte Art League lost their 21 year home on Camden Road in South End last year when the property was purchased by Asana Partners and the six month out clause in the lease was activated in August. “Flywheel Group is excited to have Charlotte Art League as a founding tenant and partner for the Station House project. The work that CAL does in the community is so important: promoting ‘Art for all’. The Station House project will be a hub of activity for art, music,
food, retail and offices. A true mixed-use development that combines preservation of some of the old buildings on the site as well as new construction. We look forward to the evolution of the project and expect several more Station House tenant announcements soon to join the Charlotte Art League.” -Tony Kuhn, President, Flywheel Group.

The Charlotte Art League at The Station House will consist of working studios, wall spaces, a front gallery space, offices and classrooms. According to Charlotte Art League Executive Director Cindy Connelly, “We’re excited Charlotte Art League will be part of the Station House project. This new opportunity will enable CAL to offer creative space for more local artists and give the Charlotte community a new venue to experience the many facets of art”, Connelly stated. The Charlotte Art League continues to fundraise to help support the relocation and physical move into the new space in Noda. The Charlotte Art League has raised over $10,000 to date from individual gifts and donations and is currently pursuing corporate sponsorships for this new space.

The Charlotte Art League moves into the Station House in February and looks forward to a grand opening in spring of 2018.
